Thanks! It's actually much larger, I didn't figure out how to post it full-size yet. There is a ranger from the map on my pic.
Speedball gold ink has gold particles as pigment, and lot's of it.

Очень правильно-сказочно вышло. Пожалуй, и средневеково-манускриптно, но белый фон гораздо лучше :)

Я думаю, если бы они умели делать или сохранять на века белый фон, предпочли бы белый. У меня есть несколько листов очень хороших копий со старых карт и кодексов (есть такое издательство, которое, в сущности, занимается реконструкцией), и некоторые довольно белые. Вы знаете Unicorn Tapestries (например, вот эти:

Они хорошо сохранились, в том числе чистые холодные цвета, но все-таки выцвели. А в каком-то журнале была фотография кусочка изнанки, которую сделали, когда их мыли и реставрировали. Там невероятная и белизна, и яркость.

I shall print it out, if I can, and put it on my wall as soon as the new study has been redecorated - previous owner left it pieced by about a million rawl plugs. Thanks so much, Phyloxena!

You are welcome! Nimloth probably sent you pictures in better resolution than here, the map should print to cropped A1 format.

Oh, how beautiful, with such exquisite detail. I love the heraldric shields for Gondor, Rohan, Ithilien and Dol Amroth, and the figures of Faramir and Eowyn, the little corsair ships and mumak...

Someone (with more computer skills than I have) has to post a larger version of it!
