Picked it up in the library by mistake. Not recommended, not at al believable. The only argument in favor of trust is that whatever one person can imagine, another can implement.
Surviving 10 days starvation in tender age, repeated exposure to ammonia+chlorine vapors, stab wound with no medical attention. I know people are more durable than they have to be, but this is a bit too much. Besides, I don't see literary point. It is not well written, it gives no moral lesson -- I guess it does in an epilogue, but he could just as well publish epilogue separately -- it has no plot. As I said, it could have happened. If it did, I am heartless etc. If it didn't, it is a dark and not particularly talented fantasy. How do I tell?
